Microsoft has announced that the new Project Scorpio will be compatible with the FreeSync2 technology and the new HDMI 2.1Protocol. Thanks to these technologies, Scorpio Project opens the doors to the 8 K resolution.
As reviewed in Digital Foundry Project Scorpio will feature FreeSync2 technology that will greatly reduce the time that passes between the console sends the image issue and this comes out on television. As the site explains, this improves the image Refresh, and therefore they have conducted a study of frames to verify the behavior of the games using this technology.
The advantage that will provide compatibility with the HDMI 2.1 VRR comes according to TV with the HDMI ports, and thanks to this characteristic could be compatible with 8 K resolution. It is also the first Console to include this feature.
Also has confirmed that Scorpio does not have port for Kinect and will need to make use of an extra adapter to connect the accessory, as is the case with Xbox One S.
