Cyanide and Focus Home Interactive have shown a new trailer of Styx: Shards of Darkness, the sequel to Master of Shadows which comes in physical format from the hand of BadLand Games. This new video is focused on unveiling a new feature of the title, its co-op mode.
The title features a cooperative mode “drop-in/drop-out” in which we invite a friend to join your current game. Two players will have more chances to pass each level successfully, but it will also increase the risk of being discovered, so the coordination between the two is crucial.
Styx: Shards of Darkness is a stealth where we will have to help Styx with their missions of infiltration and assassination. The story places us after the fall of the Akenash Tower, which has forced to Styx to infiltrate Korangar, the supposedly impregnable city of the Dark Elves. An adventure with new enemies, new environments, and a plethora of new mechanics designed to hone the skills and the movement of Styx
This sequel will be much larger than the previous delivery environments by the use of Unreal Engine 4 engine. These semi-open environments will put great emphasis on verticality, by which the use of the zip line and climbing rope will give us great freedom to complete the objectives of missions.
Styx: Shards of Darkness will arrive on March 14 to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. In addition to reserving the title we will receive gift the DLC The Akenash Set, which includes the Akenash equipment and Akenash dagger. Then we leave the trailer.
