Last Wednesday in the nursery of companies access Papagaio was held the presentation of the Second Edition of the course of development of video games. Coruña study Jack wild, responsible for titles such as the recent Bullshot and the AR series, will return to work with the City Council of A Coruña for the development of a new course for the formation of new creators of video games. The presentation was conducted by the Councillor for employment of herculino Hall, Alberto Lema, together with members of the study.
The first edition of this course, held last summer, had as objective the development of the sector in Galicia. Makers are happy with their result, as this have sprung up to 5 new business projects, integrated by the students that are currently in phase of mentoring in the nursery access Papagaio. He is added in addition to this the attempt to improve the employment situation of one so young as the video game market, supporting its development and a higher quality job creation. This is why it has been decided to continue the support to the sector with a new edition.
This second edition will give the opportunity to 15 people formed with a major study of our country. 256 hours which takes this course, spread over three months, participants will have learning in different areas of game development, from programming or animation in 3D to the marketing sector. In addition Jack savage agrees to hire a, at least, 25% of the participants. Course attendees will participate with the Coruña study on a new project that can still do not report. This development will have strong links with Galicia and will be based on one of the tourist attractions more important in the region, the Camino de Santiago.
