Hand of Sony Pictures opens in the Spanish imperfect mother, whose title in Spanish film, once again, little or nothing has to do with the original title in English (“The Meddler”). It’s a comedy-drama directed by the young screenwriter Lorene Scafaria New Yorker, which deals with what would be his second film after having also directed with his own script in 2012 “Looking for a friend to the end of the world”.
A mother Imperfecta tells the story of Marnie Minervini (Susan Sarandon) that two years after widowed moved from New Jersey to Los Angeles to be near his daughter Lori (Rose Byrne), a screenwriter of success while still single. Marnie is a woman of economic possibilities, but that does not know very well what to spend your time. As the original title of the film, it will be meddling too in your daughter’s life at the time who decides to refill your empty existential becoming volunteer to care for an elderly woman in the Hospital or becoming a sort of fairy protective sheath that is locking friendship with the boy in an Apple store, or a friend of Lori which offers to pay for his wedding. The trio protagonist completes it the aforementioned Rose Byrne, convincing and determined in their neurotic successful professional role but in the life crisis of the 30-40, alter ego of the creator of the film.

In short, an imperfect mother is a sentimental comedy more charming and friendly than funny.
