Sundance is included within the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, the biggest fair of the world games. This meeting known commonly as E3, is the largest deployment of news from big companies and the entertainment industry. The Sundance has had other years with titles such as FES, Machinarium, Hot Line Miami, VVVVVV, Limbo or The Binding of Isaac. However, this year is the first time have selected a project in a Spanish study, in particular of the Basques Delirium Studios.
“Being in the IndieCade is a dream come true,” says Arthur purse, creative director of Delirium Studios. “At the national level had received important awards, which are always a morale boost for the team, but that we choose for a being in the sample of indie’s biggest video games fair in the World Games is to level up”.
This news should not surprise us: Los Delirios de Von Sottendorff and his mind grid has won two awards, one to the best original idea in Fun & Serious Game Festival, and another to the best Spanish production of AEVI.
The delusions of Von Sottendorff and his grid mind tells the story of a baron of the early 20th century. He lives happy and happy on the inside of his house, which moves freely, without knowing that, in reality, is trapped in his own mind.
The game features gameplay that exploits both screens of the 3DS, needing both to move forward throughout history. In addition, many have been critics who have praised the narrative of the game or its excellent background music, recorded in a system holofonico that allows us to listen to the music and sound effects in three dimensions using just headphones.
