Mediatres Studio communicates that the film Terra IRS, directed by Takashi Miike, will be available in rental, platforms digital and sale on DVD and Blu-ray from the 8 of March. Both editions include a booklet of 40 pages with unique texts written by Mike Hostench, Deputy Director of the SITGES – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia. The Blu-ray Edition will also include a report on the presentation of the film at the Sitges Festival, and an exclusive interview to Takashi Miike.
Based on the manga of the same name created in 2011 by the creative pair Yu Sasuga Kenichi Tachibana, Terra Formars has been a great critical and sales success and regarded as one of the best exponents of the cyberpunk action comic. That is why Warner Bros. Japan, producers of the trilogy Kenshin, Samurai Warrior, handed over the reins of the project master Takashi Miike, and started heading to Iceland, site of shooting the film, with a casting of high level headed by Hideaki Ito (Lesson of the Evil), Rinko Kikuchi (Pacific Rim), Rila Fukushima (immortal Wolverine), Takayuki Yamda (Crows Zero), Emi Takei (Kenshin, Samurai Warrior 2 (: Hell in Kyoto) and Shun Oguri (Lupin and Cleopatra’s Purple Heart).
