Blizzard has announced that a new update to Overwatch which adds the expected competitive of Overwatch modeis available.
It should be noted that the content has only come to PC, but mentioned that the patch for versions of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is in approval process and should launch sometime next week. Because of this the company recognizes that this is not the ideal way to offer new content, but they promise that they will continue to refine its processes so that future releases are more synchronized or even simultaneous on all platforms.
Finally is notified that the first season of competitive play will be abridged since it will last about two months instead of the three announced previously, concluding on August 18, but the next season everything will return to normal.
