This week we touched read according to our mantra (a.k.a., the literary challenge to which we are subject) a book published this year. So we chose the mess that you let Carlos Montero, a psychological thriller that was Prix spring in 2016.
The disorder that leave us has the history of Raquel, a young Professor substitute of literature that makes all it possible by get that his marriage work. However, things aren’t easy between her and her husband. It takes years in stop with the pretext of that “wants to write” and Raquel seems unable of overcome the death of his mother, with which not is spoke. Their lives change overnight overnight when Rachel a substitution in a village of Ourense, in Novariz, where happens to be her husband.
Despite the emotion of the moment, things get complicated when Rachel discovers that the professor that has been replaced, Viruca, appeared dead in the river. The guardia civil says that was a suicide, but the husband of Viruca is convinced of that it killed their students. For Raquel that theory is absurd… until it begins to receive death threats in his bag with a message only:

The mess you leave is a lightweight book but with a strong and oppressive atmosphere. You hooked from the beginning to the end and is a great example of entertainment thriller. Its rhythm is well raised and the plot is unwinding in front of us while we know very well how we have gotten into a terrible mess, accompanied at all times by Raquel.
Carlos Montero, the author, was also screenwriter in physical or chemical and its construction of the characters, especially teens, is really brilliant.
